How much does it cost to book a speaker?
The majority of Rutgers–Camden speakers do not request an honorarium and will speak to your group for free. However, if your event is being held at a significant distance from the Camden Campus, it would be appropriate to compensate the speaker for any travel expenses.

How does the speakers bureau work?
Begin the process by perusing the Rutgers–Camden Speakers Bureau site and identify speakers whose research topics best match your group’s interest. Continue by following the web site’s “Request a Speaker” questionnaire. Or, call Cathy Donovan at (856) 225-6627 to discuss your requests in real time. Next, the speakers you have selected will be contacted. As soon any information on their availability is attained, Cathy will get back to you. Most often, you and the speaker will ultimately communicate directly to ensure all the details of the event are met.

Who can request a speaker?
Community and civic organizations, professional and industry associations, and other groups – from chambers of commerce to environmental groups – are invited to request speakers.

How should the speaker be introduced?
Speakers’ bios can be accessed on their individual speaker bureau page. If you’d rather have an introduction prepared for you, please contact Cathy Donovan at (856) 225-6627. We also ask that you acknowledge Rutgers University–Camden in your publicity and introduction of the speaker.

Who will be my main point of contact?
While you many communicate directly with your speaker after an event has been confirmed, Cathy Donovan at (856) 225-6627 will be your main point of contact for any concerns regarding directions, timing, location, introductions, or cancellations.
